Stockholmsgata Nature Reserve

Signs indicating hiking trails.

Hike in the wild and deep forest and experience the mighty streets of Stockholm in a similar, but at the same time completely different form than the one you experience if you stroll in Stockholm's old town. Here you will be part of a huge wilderness experience in a High Coast wilderness where you get to feel the primordial power of the ice river and nature when it created the brutally fierce canyons with plunging rock walls about 9400 years ago.

Visiting the Stockholmsgatorna nature reserve and reaching the canyons from the Västernorrland entrance can be a moderately difficult but exciting hike in itself. While from the Västerbotten entrance it has a shorter way to the canyons and the four-meter deep giant pot, which is also a cool and popular place to eat your packed lunch.
